A lovely spring morning greeted the 870+ runners for the Thirsk 10 mile road race , this race is always well organised and marshalled and yet again they did a great job. 14 Knavesmire Harriers turned out for this event and they did the club proud. -Black Combe Fell Race. - Report by Tom Ratcliffe. Black combe - The words don’t inspire too many positive connotations. It makes you think of murky British weather, rain, drizzle, fog (clag), disorientation, big hills, tough fell running.
