Borrowdale Fell Race

Report by Giles Hawking The Borrowdale  Race is one of the 'Classic' English Fell races, a 17 mile beast that  climbs  Englands highest mountain Scafell Pike 977m  , followed by Great Gable 899m and Dalehead 753m. Great Results for YKH at the Summer League

The final results for the York and District Road Race League have now been  tallied, and YKH have had another fantastic year. Knavesmire fielded between 70 and 100  runners in each race and you all made a fantastic contribution to the series and to YKH's great team spirit , cameraderie and continued success. Results. For the last three years I’ve wanted to run this race as id heard so many positive comments about it. Unfortunately I’ve always had other plans and not been in Sheffield on the same weekend. This year however not only had I organised to visit my parents on the same weekend I was also planning on doing a 15 mile training run…perfect.
