--The CCC Ultra - The Alps. Lakeland 50 winner Jayson Cavill had another go at this epic Alpine event, it is part of the famous UTMB Ultra Trail Mont Blanc running festival , and at 101 km in length with 6100 m of ascent it is a major challenge in it's self. --R U Taking The P ? 5k Fathers Day saw this popular men only 5k being run in Rowntrees Park. The race is organised by YKH founder Brian Hughes , and many club members ran or marshalled. Dukeries Ultra report by Kirsty Harvey. Under new management this year Dukeries offers a choice of three distances, 10, 30 or 40 miles & I chose to do the 40 - partly for the challenge but also because I'm doing a multi-day in July where the long day is 42m so I felt that this would be great practice.
