The BIG races of the weekend were the Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon and it's new sibling the Yorkshire 10 miler. Anyone who bought the York Press on Monday will be well aware that York Knavesmire Harriers were tremendously well represented, plenty of YKH vests could be seen in the local paper's Marathon Special section. Another busy weekend for members of York Knavesmire Harriers. -Many members were involved in the organisation and marshalling of the Levisham Limping club run. They and those that ran were rewarded with lovely warm Autumnal weather and a trip to a lovely part of the North Yorkshire Moors. Beautiful Scenary , steam trains in the valley bottom, deilicious home made cakes made by the Lockton W.I and victory for Knavesmire's Harry Holmes. Stefan Durkin was this weekend's star YKH runner taking victory at the Sutton Coldfield Adventure Unit 10k. Great to see one of the club's die hard members getting to the top of the podium. At the Berlin Marathon Stephen Maddison and Hannah Bryan both had fantastic results , completing the 26.2 miles in chip times of 2:43:49 and 3:31:01 respectively. English Championships - Guisborough 3 Tops - Sunday 6th September The cream of English Fell Running descended on Guisborough for the last race in the English Fell Championships. Hoping to make use of their local knowledge, the usual Knavesmire crew were looking to go head to head with the big boys and finish in the top 50 to score some championship points.
