  ---Yorkshire Cross Country Championships - Lightwater Valley, Ripon 07.01.2017. With 18 men and 8 Ladies we had a good number of runners to campaign for the County's  highest honours. Knavesmire's Ladies were first into the fray , their race comprising 1 small and 3 large laps , of a splendidly un-muddy and very run able course, set within pleasant  parkland inside the Big One roller coaster. YKH Weekly Round Up Week Ending 11th December.

---Hard Moors 26.2 Roseberry Topping Trail Marathon and Half Marathon. Sarah Attwood , David Smithers and new club member  but experienced Ultra runner John Freel ran this trail marathon ( more like 30 miles ) . The circular race route  started at Guisborough and took in the local high spots such as High Cliff Nab , Roseberry Topping , Captain Cooks Monument , and travelled across some bleak soggy Moors as far as Commondale and Castleton.
