FRA Relays – Report

We headed over to the Middleton Fells, the venue for this years FRA Relays, at the crack of dawn to get there in time for registration and a team lineup change. It had been an eventful last 24 hours with Tony Heron, my planned leg 2 partner, coming down with illness and us having to draft Tom in at the last minute. Northern Road Relays Report

A great turnout this year for the Northern Road Relays with us having two Men's teams and a Ladies team taking part. The men's race started with the usual crazy fast start with myself on the first leg for the A team. I tried my best to keep up but failed miserably with the fast first mile causing me to suffer for the rest of the 6k. I handed over to Simon Collins in 78th place. We are planning to enter multiple teams for the National XC Relays on Saturday 1st November in Mansfield. The Ladies race starts at 2:05pm and is 3 legs of 3k and the Mens race at 2:40pm and is 4 legs of 5k. Strong showings at the Washburn Valley Relays

Report by Stewart Creasey The Washburn Valley Relays – a race of three legs around the Fewston and Swinsty reservoirs near Otley – attracted approximately 60 teams this year. Among them were both a Men’s and a Ladies’ team from Knavesmire Harriers.
